I think its 8" for the mtx, and the RTX is 4.5"

I think the mountain riser I had on mine was about 2 .5 inches taller than stock. I needed a mountain throttle cable as well Larry. The 06 RTX riser may have been a bit shorter than the stock 08 as well.

If yamaha made a sled nice and light with the apex engine i would be all over it. Still love yamaha they just dont have anything that suits my riding style.

I hear ya...I love the power but hate the weight..rode 87 kms Sunday..I am so sore from handling the weight of the sled...Not flickable...
But on a lighter note I had to tow one of my buddies home. He smoked his rev trying to keep up with me...2 minutes of going real fast 75- 85kms+ was just too much i guess. Leaned out one cylinder. We have video of the tow home........

Cool. I hope that never happens to me. If i could only get the apex engine in the xp chassis.
