The upper idler bearings in the rear skid are 6006 DU which are $37 each from Yamaha. What is the difference between the 6006 DU and a 6006 2RS? The 6006 2RS is $13.99.
Thanks.

DMC Turbo,
I have found the best priced bearings for the skid can be found at Royal Distributing.
They sell NTN; so a decent quality bearing for the skid at far better rate than the number you are quoting Yamaha.
Double check the ID and OD
High rollers are a 6006 2rs
55mm OD 30mm ID; 13mm
part no: 04-167OR

CV Tech AAB has very good prices on bearings also. The AAB 6006 is $7.25, the KBC is $14.59.
You could call and ask, as they also carry other brands that may not be listed. The number is 1 800 518 7220.
I usually get my bearings there since the dealer pricing on bearings blows everyone else away.

If you search this forum, there have a number of bearing threads. The upper idler bearings in the rear skid are 6006 DU which are $37 each from Yamaha. What is the difference between the 6006 DU and a 6006 2RS? The 6006 2RS is $13.99.

It's just difference in part number nomenclature. 6006 is industry standard designation for a bearing with 30mm ID x 55mm OD x 13mm wide. 2RS is "2 rubber seals". DDU means same thing.
Best to use bearings made in Japan (NSK, NTN, Nachi, Koyo to name a few) or Germany/Europe such as SKF.
KBB is Korean Bearing Co.
ABB is a Swedish company. Ok to use these.
