What made you decide to buy a EPI belt? Maybe you could measure the belt and we could get some comparisons? I put a mark on side of belt and a matching mark on table. Roll the belt one rotation on table then another mark on table. Measure distance between both marks. Use a caliper for side.

Here's some feedback on the Belt situation. Epi only offers a 60-day guarantee so there's nothing that can be done through them. Yes it was $100 mistake on my side and probably should have done better research last year when buying a belt. Gates offers a one-year snowmobile warranty and obviously that's quite a bit better. I'll just buy a Gates belt and use that instead. I'll keep the EPI belt and use that as a backup.
Here are the dimensions on the EPI belt itself: The belt is 43 5/8 inches long. 34.8 mm wide on average . . . It varied ever so slightly as I measured from different spots on the Belt. 15.2 mm thick from very top ridges to the bottom of the burnt cogs . . . Also variances here but can be expected given the Cogs are burnt!
I am going to use a Gates belt next. . . 40C4340 looks to be their top of the line 8DN equivalent.

Just an FYI - Ulmer provides clutch settings based on the stock 8DN belt. If you use something other than that (such as a gates or ultimax) you may need to tune the clutch for the belt. We have found in the past that a belt with more grip than the 8DN needs less clutch weight. Check out the thread "All Day Clutching". We found the Ultimax needed almost 1/2 the weight than what Ulmer setup for the 8DN to get to peak rpm.

Andy I will get some measurements for you. Just curious myself since never saw that belt used other than on some ATV's.
