Who do you think helped Yamaha put this together (Hint - Hint) And yes he has been quiet I have been trying to reach him for almost a month. Probably over in Japan fixing issues with other Yamaha products!Speedwerks has one also. I wonder if Ulmer has one? He has been quiet lately!

Really where do you get your facts? Turbo is bigger than the one on suk and the motor will spin at a higher rpm! This motor with stock turbo can make more than 300hp what we don't know is how strong bottom end is?That turbo want produce 300 hp, to small, maybe 250 in a good day.

I have not studied the new turbo yet but I know the MPI stage ! is limited to about 13 lbs of boost. With the correct setup and no head shim and upgraded billet wheel 10.5#'s is getting it to 260 ish hp so 13 will get that to about 288 max on the Viper motor with intercooler, upgraded fuel pump and 4th injector.Really where do you get your facts? It is all the little stuff that comes into play. Will the fuel system be able to supply more 3's can the ecu be timed to handle the pressure increase efficiently to pull enough but not too much timing? How close to the edge do you want to push it. We knew the capabilities of the viper motor (less the CAT ecu) from years of boosting Nytro's with great results to way over 300 hp but what can this motor handle

I am sure after the 16 rod debacle much scrutiny will go into this system prior to production.

Not sure if pump will support 300hp but the fuel system in the Sidewinder is a return style system unlike the viper. That's a positive thing since most aftermarket turbo kits converted the Viper pump to this style.

If you bought it from Woddy's in topsome, most likely keith will be working on it for you to enjoy some extra power options ha ha ha,I know keith personally.I understand the wait and see aspect (power and speed). I too would like to think that in it's stock form the SW will offer me enough to quench my thirst for both and maybe something I haven't had for a while, (easy steering and handling).
But with that being said, when I made the deal a couple of weeks ago (traded my Turbo Attak stage 1 and 2) for the SW, and letting the dealer know about my wanting to keep this one stock, he just smiled and let me know how much was left on the table by Yamaha with this one, and mentioned some hp numbers that he thought were attainable with just flashes and of course clutch and gearing changes. D&D and a few more were mentioned!!! Will I be able to keep it stock?
I keep saying to myself over and over, 5 year warranty 5 year warranty 5 year warranty and hopefully that will keep me in a modification parameter as the numbers and talk really get going this fall.....

Turbo is identical to the Suzuki turbo and us tapped at 300-320 hp. It's very inefficient at those levels but will make it and it takes 30 plus # to do it.

Same size turbo as the cat. So that being said, looking at around 250hp on 91 octane. since thats what the cats can do. The turbo is going to be the deciding factor on how much power you can make. Next will be the fuel system, does anyone know the fuel pump and injector size yet?
