So it's time to do a track swap on my wife's Phazer. I have given the maverick track 700kms of trial and cannot get it to work. The main thing I do not like is it throws up next to no snow into the tunnel for cooling. It's mainly ridden on the trail by my wife but also of trail by myself and buddies.

The last time this sled was out last season there was 4-10" of fresh heavy wet snow on the trail and the sled is over heating 'cause the track is just packing the snow. My Apex was throwing up a blizzard. If you can believe it I tried putting the scratchers down!

So I've seen lots of guys putting 151x2" tracks on Phazers without having to extend the tunnel. The tunnel and front intercooler seems to have tons of clearance, way more than my apex with 2.5" paddles.

Whatever track I install I have to trim the width so I only want to do this once. I can get 151x2 tracks cheap but I was really impressed with the 2.5" camo extreme on my apex. I'd like to get 2.5" paddles under the Phazer.

I have not seen a 151x2.5" (any width or pitch) Can I get a 153x2.5 3 pitch track under the phazer without doing tunnel mods? I know I need to swap drivers out and I'll go the rail extension route rather than suspension setback. Is 153" too long? If it is I guess I can go 150x2.5".

I have put a Nytro 153" with 3" extroverts under my phazer using the set back. It looks fine for length without tunnell extension. There are many such tracks already done here. Use search for "153 track". I won't be able to try mine out for quite a while. I have an extension kit if the set back doesn't improve the trenching.

You could try and find a polaris series 4 track they came in 151&159 2.4 paddles. Just need you trim it down but wouldn't have to change drivers

I just did a 159 with the 3" set back and extensions, 159 with a stiffer snow flap the clearance will be fine. Going 162 you'll more than likely need to extend a little for clearance.

I dont gett it, why do u need to extend the tunnel? the snow flap is in the way that i get but, how will the clearence be bigger if u extend?

thanks, I'll look for a 151x2.4. If rummer has it Camo is thinking of a shorter 3" track. I think there is enough room under there for a 3" stock!
