Hi Guys

Noticed my side panel is getting pretty black after only 200 miles this weekend this after flash, didnt notice this when stock. Seems to be running a bit rich perhaps or is this happening to others as well?

You would think with the technology these things would adjust A/F ratios automatically.

Four strokes like to be rich. Not like 2 strokes.
Pretty sure richness is also one of the ways TD is making your tunes safe.

Mine is stock and has done it since day one. But I'm one of the guys getting bad gas mileage as well, so yes running rich.

I ran stock last year .. A little stain . Got the power trail tune . I noticed my panels got allot more of a darker stain on the white.. They must run them a little richer with the tune .. No big deal easy to clean .. And the power is so much worth it lol. VIM wipes the stain right off I used a liitle mild or soft scrubber with hand cleaner

I'm getting the sense that op doesn't have a problem with cleaning panel, but rather would like an explanation as to why, in this century & with the available technology, that this still happens. IDK......maybe I'm wrong.

My white ski is no longer white. Hurricane 270r. Price you pay to play

I'm finding the 270r with my hyperflow is really staining my red/white too.

Mine too, 2200 miles and average 11 mpg.

I'm about 3-4 bucks less than a new xrs 850 broken in on a fillup both riding same. Both 91 octane. Not sure what that is in mpg
