I apparently have an air lock in my brake line and can not bleed it conventionally. If anybody has any tid bits to help me out, I'd sure appreciate it!

I ran 200 miles on Saturday with no brakes, just the engine brake.

Don't really want to do that again. I probably only use my brakes a half dozen times per ride, but you sure do miss it on those half dozen times.

This is the easiest way to bleed brakes...

1. loosen the bleed bolt, not too far, just enough to leak through.

2. squeeze the brake handle.

3. put finger over top of bleed bolt.

4. release brake handle.

Repeat as many times as necessary.

5. with finger still on bleed bolt, tighten.

Do again for other bleed bolt.

Lb..

Tried that for about a half hour but couldn't build the pressure. My dealer said that I have two options, one being the vacuum, the other being an oil can in the fittings??, I will try the latter tonight, but don't know what to do if that doesn't work.

If the aforementioned method doesn't work, you can try this. Remove the caliper from the chaincase (don't disconnect the line). Take the cover off of the master cylinder. Using a pry bar or screwdriver, pry the brake pads back so that the slave cylinders retract. (Try not to damage your pads.) You should be able to see fluid and air coming back into the master resovoir. I would put a few rags on your sled in case it overflows.
Hopefully a lot of air will come out of the line. You can then bleed the system in the traditional way, hopefully with better results. Good luck (cuz you need your brakes!)
