Blown Belt

it might help if you post your setup...your weight...power level and driveline mods in detail...
my bad ...hurricane stm 83g weights...270 flash with quite trail exhaust.... no studs... and I'm 250 lbs..... wasn't going fast as such but was on the fuel coming out of a lazy turn....pullin hard and boom ....plastics gone...

Is anyone here running a belt adjuster. ?

I really think we are running the belts too tight. Quick rule is no higher then flush on the secondary.
Speaking from experience.

Belt deflection has no effect on anything past engagement. Hence, no effect on whether a belt blows or not.

And the rest of it? Drive spring, driven spring, helix, belt & offset at least?

Yap.
Been there you need to dig in a and see what's going on with these clutches. There's a few known issues on this thread.

Oh my bad I see he’s running stm’s. Guess his belt failed with a snap, says it looks like it was cut with a knife. Usually that’s something binding in the secondary. How do your rollers look? Did it break at high speed or riding in the corners?

probably 30-40 mph... coming out of a corner and got on the fuel...
Jagger did you hammer the brake going into the corner? (That’s what I do anyway!) if so with the stock secondary spring, the belt will become unloaded. then when you hammer it the the primary has nothing to squeeze right away and builds up speed until it smacks the belt, grabbing it like Michael Jackson at a orphanage. This shock loads the heck out of the belt. A stiffer secondary spring will help the secondary to close up faster preventing this.

An 8dn belt will help with this also as it will slip a little when hammered instead of grabbing immediately. If your worried about groving try a xs825 it’s not as hard as the 8dn.

I've blown lots of belts just the same. I believe it's a buildup of heat when riding and it just can't take the WOT torque when coming out of the corner when that hot.

ClutchMaster probably nailed it. Maybe thats one reason for me not blowing belts. I like to glide into corner and let the clutch pull me down which helps plant the front... Then throttle through. Now I'm just old & slow. I use my brakes twice a season. Wether I need to or not.

Soupy you said you were shredding belts not snapping them, usually a different cause. Heat usually shreds belts shock loading snaps them. Not always but usually.

will my belt snapped rite into..... there was no other belt parts dwn inside....cleanest break you could ever imagine....i was expecting to see a million pcs ...
