I am still looking for aftermarket pads and preferably ones that have a thin sheet metal shield between pad backing plate and the caliper Pistons. I have a deep groove from piston digging into the backing plate.

JB weld and .010 tool steel shim stock to the backing plate. the tool steel shim stock is hardened and should work fine. haven't tried this because my sled is new and I have never ridden it. hope the yamacat treats me well.
