I got my new srx last week and I've finally got it out of the trailer. I wanted to see if it was "all that yamaha promised" in running 120mph.
When I unloaded it, I ran it right off the trailer for 2500ft. The speedo finally got to 200kph(125mph) at the very end of the 2500ft. I ran it back and forth for a total of 4 runs. Each time the sled made it to 200kph.
The max rpm was 8719 when I recalled it. The temp was 87c. I ran on hard pack and the temp is +1c today.
The sled is completely stock with 96 studs, medium windshield with mirrors.
Now I have 3km's on my sled!

I took my brand new SRX out yesterday. Conditions weren’t ideal at +1C. I was happy it ran 120mph on gps. Speedo was a bit generous as I saw 122. The sled is Completely stock with 144 studs and C&A skis.

I put on 100 miles on my new srx ,all I can say is amazing ,the suspension set up is great , the handling was great , the power , even raced a new turbo skidoo , no competition there , once tuned and geared these sleds will be crazy ,I think everyone is forgetting this thing is brand new. It had 0 km's when tested. It now has 3km's. Yamaha has really hit it's mark. What will this sled do when the motor, track and belt are worn in?
Everyone is worried about gps and radar. I get it, but it'll pick up 10mph when everything is broke in!!!!!

Yep, pouring rain here. Sorry guys, I'll have to wait to get gps and radar #s after we get some cold weather and some snow.

For the guys with SRX’s.... are you setting up your suspension the same as the 17/18’s? Seems most guys stiffened up the center shock to relieve ski pressure and asp let all the spring pressure off the front skis when up on a stand.
Any reason to do things differently on this sled or does the electronic fox shocks and dual rate front springs require further testing?

Glad the new SRX is fast. I saw 120+ on my speedo many times lake running with my stock 17 in good conditions. The SRX sits lower has a 1 inch track and has some clutch changes. 125 sounds very realistic to me. Can’t wait to see what my sled does with a 240 or 270 race tune .

Very glad to hear about about your new rides guys.
I expected no less from team blue when they decided to bring the SRX back to life.

Where did you find ice/hardpack to wind her out? Used to live in Tottenham- not far from BH.

What studs (type and length) are you running? Stud pattern 2-4 or 3-3-3?

10 MPH when broken in. Damn you will have a stock SRX running 130 MPH. That thing will blow the sides off my boosted Sidewinder.I think everyone is forgetting this thing is brand new.
