Well guys I'm thinking about a turbo for the APEX this summer and have quite a few questions.

First of all I would go with one of Impulse's kits. Thinking 10-15lbs of boost. With that said here we go.

Which turbo kit would be right for me from Impulse?
How hard is it to install a head shim?
Could a regular home mechanice like me do it?
Should I do pistons and rods?
Where would I get these?
Would compression would I need to run pump 91 at 1400ft or what would I need to turn the boost down to?
Would I have to do cam timing?
How hard is that and again can I do it?
Can I set an Impulse turbo up one time and will adjust settings if I go from 1400ft to 5000ft or 10000ft?

Thats all I can think of for now, but I'm sure I will have many more questions.

Which turbo kit would be right for me from Impulse? ( Go with MCX)How hard is it to install a head shim? (Patience when tighting down head)Could a regular home mechanice like me do it? (You need special tools)Should I do pistons and rods? ( Always better to build it strong from the get go)Where would I get these? ( There's vendors on here. Hurricane)Would compression would I need to run pump 91 at 1400ft or what would I need to turn the boost down to?
Would I have to do cam timing? (Yes, for best performance)How hard is that and again can I do it? (Hurricane has already ground gears)Can I set an Impulse turbo up one time and will adjust settings if I go from 1400ft to 5000ft or 10000ft? (No)Thats all I can think of for now, but I'm sure I will have many more questions.

Can't I gut out the seat I currently have? It's a boss seat.

I was going to use an impulse apex tank, but cant find seat. Last time I looked into nothing out there. Even spoke with Cnd distributor of impulse, he had 3 apexs waiting for seats. So I gave up & looked for other options. Maybe by now Paul has something, but the apex doesnt seem as cool as the nytro. So people want that kit more, or the nypex thing.

My next build will be a MCX. You don't here about as many problems. Rear mounts does equal less headaches as i have seen. No melting tanks, no melted coolant lines, No broken headers, Stock injectors. Their 290hp kit is a pretty much a install it and forget about it.

As Red has said I was going to go impulse tank and did alot of searching for a seat and couldn't find one in Canada or U.S. and Paul doesn't know where to get one either.
