Can 't get my Apex to fire after storage

How do you know your headers, and exhaust valves are just big enough ???

Did you snap the nose off the starter motor when you first tried to start it?

No..I was in the process of putting a powerglide in behind the small block mopar. So I had it all in and bolted up and went up front to turn it over and make sure nothing was binding in the converter, or the adapter etc... it would get to a spot and stop. I would go back the other way and stop dead again... then I had the bar slip off and punch through my cheek. Too the ER to get it glued back up and I took the tranney out and it still stopped...I was like WTF... so I began taking it apart from the top, thinking maybe I broke a roller rocker, spring or something. Nope....then took the head off and was like - YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME.... its an alky motor so I guess it was close to being an ethanol motor as well.

Was by far one of the craziest things I have ever ran across....

Oh...I see... Almost broke your nose not the starters!
 
My apex di dthe same thing. Popping and backfiring. As a temp. Fix to get it moved, I took the 2 middle plugs out (that's all I could get to on the trailer in the dark), held a lighter to them, put 'em in, and it fired up. Ran like crap, but it started. I do have the Cr10's also. Time for new ones, and take the key out of it in the summer. I know some of my employees had fired it up a few times when their buddies stopped by this summer.
