With the Canadian government taking a hard stance in response to United States trade policies it appears that the Risk Factor in BRP financial information that was dated 2023 and still being used will certainly have the need to be updated as sales in the USA will no doubt suffer. If I was a current investor ( which Iam not ) I would be very concerned with BRP ability to turn profits if things don’t change where they are currently headed… Its a very good chance that their products will not be affordable in USA… So this fact is even more a good reason for Arctic Cat to return even better than before and a great time for successful rebirth .. Go Cat go ….

That door swings both ways. Canada accounts for 42% of sales of snowmobiles across manufacturers. Its hard for it to be a complete layup for AC as they will face rising supply chain costs and the loss of some part of the Canadian market.

Ontario Drive and Gear is a Canadian company as well. It is hard to predict what the impact will be of manufacturing in the US but paying taxes/taking profits in Canada. Also, ODG is a manufacturer themselves. They already make the argo machines maybe they can shift some capacity north of the border to offset some tariff impacts (will take at least a year).

For BRP they just got their loan extended - stabilizing their finances and they will not face the same rising costs in the supply chain. BRP will have to deal with challenged sales in the US. But sales into northern europe, eastern europe, south america, etc will belong almost exclusively to BRP as they won't have to deal with recipricol tariffs. It won't make up for the drop in US sales across all of BRPs product lines but they have been expanding sales into other markets faster than the other manufactuers so maybe it won't hurt so bad in the long run.

The best thing for everyone would be for the tariffs to simply go away.

I believe that is what Trump wants us to believe. I really don't put any merit in what he says, his track record for telling the truth is pretty dismal. Some media outlets say what he says and others say something totally different.
