Put the spline extension plug in the bore. Wiggle it a little to make sure it is engaging on the rack. Then try to line up the external spline on the actuator to the internal spline of the plug. The actuator on-time is time based and the time we have it set is about double what it needs so you don't need to worry if is set in gear or not. Once the actuator is in rotate it until the holes line up for the screws. Be sure not to over tighten those bc the plastic will crack. When it is all put back together make sure you shift it a couple times before running it up
Perfect!!

where did u get that manual from?
i was at cat yesterday. said they couldnt get a service manual yet for the xf7000
let me know
thanks
That is true. My AC local dealer, not a huge one, didn't know about the manual adjustment on the Chain. He looked shocked and pulled his 2 mechs to a 7000 on the floor and started to pull it apart.

The AC service manuals were received over two weeks ago. That page I posted is directly from the 14 AC service manual. It is a disc. Yamaha service manual is online and way late.

Now Next Issue - got actuator and everything back in to chain tower and no issues. Reverse now does not work, Last year i had an issue with this when i installed my hand guards (polymounts with Yamaha Hand guards) Last years fix was that i believe i was pinching a wire to the reverse switch. This year, same issue, although my handgaurds were already installed. Reverse worked well when i put up for the winter. No clicks going on or any sign of the reverse switch actually doing anything. did try to open up the housing for the throttle and reverse cover to see if any issues and even when this is pulled apart, will not go into reverse.
Will be looking at a diagram to check the positive and negative wires and to follow through the sled, but anyone else have this issue and a possible solution as to why nothing happens when i try to put into reverse?
Thanks!
