I have the same sled. Save your money for possible clutch problems. And I bent one rail.

My initial posts did turn into a disaster (thank you technology)! As long as the clutches are maintained, you'll be OK. Honestly, the SideWinder has a ton of power, so of course it will eat belts if you put it in the right conditions. If you're drag racing and you stand on it from a dead stop, then you're going to absolutely shock the belt and don't be surprised if it snaps. Just be smart with your right thumb - I've got 3,000 miles on my original belt and it still looks as good as new(ish).

Ya,my first belt lasted about 1500 miles until I beat the snot out of it one day,on off full throttle pulls, out on ITS86 from oxbow to Houlton rr bed,it was so hot from the ITS trail,as soon as I hit the bed and turned it up,boom. I got to just about 110 speedo and it blew into a million pieces. So after that,i only beat on any of my other belts for short periods of time, before I let things cool off, there were no cords showing on that 8jp stock belt that blew, just don't hammer on them when you get past 1000 miles, either change and keep for a spare,or drive normal. Yes I believe some can get 3 grand out of a 8jp belt, but not if you overheat it,with lots of added power. My initial posts did turn into a disaster (thank you technology)! That is the proven designs race snow flap which is 28 inches long. I have one on my sled also. When I bought mine I had to call them because at that time it was not listed on their website.
