Got myself a M-10 for the Warrior, woo hoo! Of course I couldn't stop there, so I bought Ohlins shocks for the front, woo hoo! That's it, I'm done I swear. Christmas is Over!
I'm going to attempt the M-10 install this weekend. While I have the skid out I'm sure there's some things I should check, like drive axle but what else?
Thanks, Al

chaincase and jackshaft bearings come to mind but a-arm bushing check would not hurt either.

Cool. Thanks for responding. I'll definitely check out both bearings. Front end bushings were done by previous owner (thanks Dexter). As a matter of fact I'll have to check with him cause I think he replaced the jack shaft bearing too.

What do you all use to plug up the holes left in the tunnel from the pro-action mounting bracket??

I'm drilling the mounting holes in the tunnel tonight or tomorrow for the M10. I'm a bit nervous; any words of wisdom?I still have them. You are building my sled. 03 Rx1 136 m10 with ohlins all around.

Are you using the drop brackets for the rear?

I used small button head stainless to attach bracket to tunnel. Use locktight, I've had the front and rear both loosen up, the front has fallen out a few times.

Did you use the template from fast to position brackets correct or did you take a measurement?I used small button head stainless to attach bracket to tunnel. Use locktight, I've had the front and rear both loosen up, the front has fallen out a few times.

A dealership in Old Forge NY installed it originally. I cannot post pics as the old girl is in the trailer. I've painted my yellow springs and arms with black plasti-dip (way before it was cool), its held up for over 10 years. My skid rattles by the way, always has.
I wouldn't worry about the spot weld, but you could easily just put a screw in there if it worries you, just keep an eye on it.

The protectors have some rub marks from the 136 Ripsaw 2 and pro action skid so I'm hoping the m10 won't be worse.
As for measuring for m10 install, I'm using the template like this, one end hooked on the front arm
mount bolt and one end lined with the rear mount bracket hole.
I'm not too sure what this template is for, figured to mark rear bracket mounting location.

Been sick so I didn't have much chance to work on the sled until today. I've got the largest holes for the rear bracket bolts all drilled, but not sure how to get past the protectors to drill the smaller holes for the button head bolts. Any ideas?
Here's the notched out spacers for the front shaft. Grind, file, grind file...
I noticed a line of track lugs broken off; from hitting the protectors?
Cheers to my buddy for use of his heated shop! No heat in my garage. Here's a picture of one of the model boats he made years ago. All the rigging needs to be fixed, cleaned up, and then this dragger is going to Owls Head museum.
