I pplan on fully clipping my track soon. I noticed that i am missing several clips when I did my Hindle.

1) What track clipping tool does everybody have?
2) Where did you buy it from?
3) What clips and where did you buy them from?
4) How many do I need? All the other clips look like crap.

Anything else I need to do while the skid is out? I know I need to do the shocks and have a sleeve put on.
Also planning to do the front bushing's. Do i need a special tool for the fronts??

I have 2009 XTX stock track.

Thanks in advance.

Beer and food for any Michigan people that want to swing by and help.

I wouldn't clip the stock ripsaw track. That thing is junk. Order a new track, and use the stock track for a trailer mat or something. Check out Tracks USA and order something fully clipped already.

Clipping a stock ripsaw is a waste of time and money.

No special tools required to do the front bushings. I assume you mean the a-arm bushings. A threaded rod and nuts and washers works great.

Why do you want to clip the track? If you arent running extrovert drivers, i wouldnt see the justification of doing it. Yes, the rolling resistance goes down cause there's less friction between the slides and the track, but the weight of the goes up.

Yes the front a-arms. Mine are shot. Pulled sled into garage and the front arms move bakcward before the sled moves.

Track for less friction. There are times I need to ride along the road to get to another field or another road where the ditchs are better. Even if I can replace the ones that have gone AWOL.

Gotcha. If you are having slide wear issues, you could try the Dupont slides. I heard they are pretty good, but I haven't tried them myself. That's just what I read on the internet. And if it's on the internet, it HAS to be true, right?!?! :-)

Ya I agree on the internet thing. Yes, I am looking at the duponts. I just put on new slides last summer. I guess I will try this Hi perfromance catalog and order their clip installation tool. I was just hopeing someone on here has clipped their own track.

I clipped one. I had the plier style clip tool. Cost me $100 and I broke it first time I used it. It was also hard to get the clip sitting flat before bending the ends in. I think the guillotine style might be a better choice.

I did every one of them.....I got it through Marshall dist here in Michigan or you can get them at hi performance engineering too....it's not that hard to do

If you have a XTX, there is 57 lugs, so you need 114 clips to do every lug. If you have a 121 track, theres 48 lugs, so you need 96 clips.
