my clock is stuck on 1:00. i can set it and check it the next day and its back on 1:00. but when i set it , it holds time for a bit. checked the fuses. all good. :o| k just set the time. it was back on one after 15 min. where is the memory feed? you would think it would be through the fuse box

Not that you want to leave it running now but, when your ridding or with it running does it seem to keep time? There may be an internal battery that has gone. If it seems ok with the motor running I would geuss that's the issue. Just pull, well carefully take it apart and look for the battery. I know it looses time when you disconect the harness but who knows.

yeah im an idiot. to many things going on in the shop. so i was thinking that the back up fuse was for the back up beeper. lol i got er fixxed tonight. shes keepin time well now with a new fuse. :rocks: :letsnow:

Wow, I don't know how you could possibly miss somethng like that......but I know I sure could have - easily!

Glad to hear you found it! ;)!

cause as of right i have my sled at work torn apart. (
i work at a dealership) so between jobs i work on my sled. normally you would see a fuse marked as mem or memory, not back up. like i said too many things going on in the shop. so in the spare few minutes i had i over looked it. but hey thats what this site is for right?

Cool, glad to see you got it fixed. Yeah, it's strange they call that fuse a back-Up, and the back-up buzzer is called Signal. The first time I looked at it I thought, what do they use a bike fuse box for the sled. Thinking it was for turn signals. Must be a translation thing.

;)!

I'm glad that you guys got your clocks fixed. I am however curious why the fuses blew. Is there anything else besides the instrument cluster that is fed by this fuse?

well someone here at my work turned my key on and killed the battery. so when i tried to fire it up the next day it was dead. i used our jumper battery to start it up. since then i have just replaced the batt. with a new one. i did throw a bunch of codes with having a dead batt. so im thinking that maybe i got a power spike from the dead batt. or the jumper batt. anyway its still working. it is only a 3 amp fuse. you could look at it wrong and burn it out. just my thought :letsnow:

Boy do I feel like a dumba$$. :o|
I took that fuse out when I unplugged my back-up beeper so snow wouldn't get into the plug and short it out.
I would have never guessed they would label them so bass-ackwards.
Anyways, I put the fuse back in and so far so good.

Holy $#!+, I finally found an answer to why the clock on my Apex keeps resetting to 1:00 - Thank GOD!!! Thanks for putting this thread on here. I thought the exact same thing that the backup fuse was for the backup beeper. Whew, this issue has been taxing my brain and skills to the point that I almost said f-it for the first time ever and just lived with it.
Man I love this site -- Mr. Sled you are the man for keeping this site going!!!
