Decided to put it in the dishwasher reading others have . Now everything is black. Any easy way out of this mess I just created? I was able to clean the sheaves with a scratch pad. But would be allot of work doing the rest that way... Help!!

i just took it appart and washed the faces and posished the helix. I use hot water and sunlight in a sink.

Did you use dishwasher soap? You should use Dawn or some other dish soap. Dishwasher soap is very alkaline.

Did you take them out before for the dishwasher dryed them.
