Has anyone made an actual comparissions against aftermarket kits and stock? I am just putting in a Drag N Fly setup and was wondering if the Ulmer (great people!!) kit is better, etc.
Thanks!

I have an ulmer stage one on mine. IT seems to work pretty well. I cannot compare with stock because I had the kit put on right out of the box. IT seems to engage pretty smooth and that is what Aaron recommended after putting the Excell Exhaust on.

I would talk to turk for all your clutch info, or better yet do a search. There was a topic on clutches not too long ago.

I am VERY happy with Ulmers setup!! Once dialed in it turns the Nytro into another beast!!! Stock dropped off way to quick and was geared wrong IMO

I have both the drag"n"fly and ulmer cluth kit with the excell exhaust, drag"n"flys pull way harder if your doing corner to corner running, not sure how it does on top end yet, because it snowed and they sent me the wrong spring, but they sent the write one out rite away, i want to do more testing with the ulmer helix and secondary spring with the drag"n"flys in the primary, the guys at super torque "drag N Flys" Do the cluthing for the yamaha factory sno crossers, they said the best set up is to leave the secondary alone and use there dnfs, these things are awsome, even in the mid range the thing really pulls hard.

On my Vector, I had a lot of clutch slip and was burning through a couple of belts a year.
After all the great words here on Ulmer's kit and customer service, I ended up with a clutch kit set up for my weight and riding style. It ended up revving a little high, and after a quick call to Ulmer, I got that all sorted out with his recommendations.
About a year later, I was contacted by Ulmer and he was sending out some new weights (free of charge), as the old ones were wearing prematurely.
Now who else would do that?
Kudos to Ulmer Racing. Great customer service. I highly recommend them.

Right now we have not found a helix which warrants the additional cost of offering a helix. Slight gains are had, but once time permits, I will be testing many different angle's (track/field) until I'm happy with the results. At that time I will offer it, again as long as I see good results.
Happy Trails

Before selling my Vector, I removed the clutch kit and held onto it. This thread has made me consider putting this kit into my Nytro and with one simple email, Allen replied and sent me the settings I needed of which to apply to my sled.
Again, great service, 2 1/2 years after purchase.
