I just got an email from Allen Ulmer...I was asking about clutch setup for my Apex...I will be the first to say I don't know very much about clutches...Allen suggested a Yamaha orange silver orange primary and a white secondary....What does the colors represent...Also I see other manufacturers and after market people with similar and same colors...Are they a standard for each color ... ie Comet three yellow and say a Yamaha three yellow....I don't know that is why I am asking
most of the spings fom yamaha are all black. then they have paint marks of different colors ie white silver white . the paint marks indicate the pressure of the spring in pounds. their is a chart that will tell you what is what. i have it someplace. the clutch guys can tell you without looking.
stock yamaha spring for your sled was Yellow-Silver-Yellow 30kg preload and total force 118kg spring rate 2.5 he wants a Orange-Silver-Orange 35kg preload 143kg total preload rate 3.25 hope this help but other springs from other manufacture are not the same.
