Frosty, I was thinking that your clutching knowledge needs the ultimate test......
So I'll order a shockwave tomorrow. What time are you and Jon-Girl going to be here on Friday to get it all dialed in?

That could be arranged!
I just lightened up my heavy hitters from 58.2 grams to 56.7 grams today to be able to get more adjustability out of my shockwave. Then I weighed my 8DN-00 weights from a couple years ago and they weighed 56.6 grams so I put them in my sled to give them a try.
The reason I say this is a couple years ago when testing the Dalton weights it was apparent to me that my sled liked 56.6 grams best. I tried the Dalton 55.5 and 57.5 gram weights and couldn't decide which one I liked better so I loaded up the 8DN-00s to 56.6 and they were super fun but the top end just wasn't there. I'll give them another try and see how I can get them to perform.
I'm going on a rescue mission tomorrow morning. A buddy of mine has his 141" Mountain Max stuck in the bottom of a canyon and they want me to try to ride it out. I guess we'll see how that goes.

We got the sled out. It wasn't too bad. The guys were just tired and sweaty from trying to get it out the day before and gave up perhaps a little early (2 pm Saturday).
We hooked up with some locals and I must say I had NO IDEA we had riding like what I experienced yesterday this close to Spokane.
I was shcoked at the bowls and the holes we were climbing. It was more like what I ride in Cooke City.
Now that I have ridden this area I'm thinking maybe a 159 x 16 would be better than the 151?
I tried the 8DN-00 weights yesterday and they worked pretty good. I was pulling 10,500 climbing but I think I still like the heavy hitters better. The 8DN-00 make the sled feel more torquey and it wheelies really well. Down low the weights worked great but climbing at 6,000 feet they seemed to lack the immediate hit of the heavy hitters. I will try them back to back this coming weekend if I get the chance.

Sorry guys I have was out of town this last week. I am all for going to McCall to ride w/girlyboy....I mean Spray. Just let me know when.
Until then, Frosty had better show me where this great pow is. I need to get out and ride. Oh yea, we are next weekend. Can't wait.
Back on subject, Spray, you will like the shockwave. I haven't really tested as Frosty has but it works very nice. It I have time this next weekend I will do some testing.

PB, no J (that would be you FROSTY), If you ever come over to Cooke for a ride give me a couple weeks heads up and I'll try to hook up with you for a ride. I'll even let you pull the trigger on my SCRX-1mtn with the 162".
I'm putting a shockwave on it once the annual bonus hits the bank in a month after reading your reviews. I need something to get my revs under control. It hold 9800 climbing in 2' of powder (right on target by MPI) but on hard pack it's like Hammer's APEX and goes into the "run away train mode" reving up to 11,780 according to my Daytona guage's datalog feature. I'm guessing by the later number that the RX-1 doesn't have a built in Rev Limiter. If it does, I apparantly let off before getting there because the sled was still gaining in revs when I let off on the trail.

I went out today in fesh powder again.
Last time out I tried the 8DN-00 weights and wasn't that impressed.
Today I tried my Heavy hitters lightened up and I wasn't that impressed either. I dropped them down to 56.4 grams and I seem to have lost my top end and my bottom end but I was riding two up with my 120 lb. son so that may have eaten up some RPM.
Testing, testing............ I need more testing!
