first off in 05 we bought 2 yamahas 1 rx-1 & 1-rs-vector , we took
their advice & bought the team rollers .
my question is on the vector, i have 2 helixs one is 34-strt 50-34-46
other is 38-strt 54-38-46 (which came off my rx-1 ,did real good on that)
both have red-pink spring 140-260 , would like to know which helix to use on the vector .
will be useing heelclicker weights 40-10 with red spring 230-260,
heelclicker said 3.3 in shoulder center & tip 0
any help would be great wife wants hers to be like the rx-1 was

thank you
larry

The red spring is mighty stiff for 4 strokes but those helix,s are pretty steep. I have never used a team roller but looking at those helix,s with a 8-12 degree spread you usually want the weight heel & tip. With a strate angle usually the heel only works but then again I have no experience with those secondaries. If your gonna use the red spring start with 5 grams heel & use the strate 38 helix & fine tune from there. With that combo you have to have some clutch tuning experience & it,s gonna take some time to get things dialed in.

thanks for the advice
question--are you saying get another helix 38 straight or use the one that says 38-strt. i have a white spring from heelclicker set up is that any better , not sure of the ibs of the spring.

i really dont know what any of the #s mean.
thank you

You really should have a lot & I mean a lot of clutching experience to dial in what you have. Do you have somebody locally that hase some clutch tuning knowledge?

Iuse a 34straight with a140-200 or a 125-175 on my vector and it runs really good . A 36 will also work . The yamahas dont like the tall angles of the team helixs. I found the shallow helix work good onthese machines. The team when used is a good replacement for the stock clutch.
