Pink spring binds. My secondary was machined to get rid of bind. You can also machine the helix to remove bind. My helix's are also machined for the secondary to open more for full shift. I hit the limiter on the top also. Not done clutching yet, more things to try. Need snow at home to test. Now have to load in trailer and go for 1 hr ride to test.

Does stock spring bind quicker than the pink spring?

Hmmm ok I'll hafta check mine, thought for sure we used the stock secondary spring but I know there's no pink on it. Gotta check and see if it was changed or not, either way it's def binding up and done at 109 the way it is

I get to 110 quick like less than 1000' then hit limiter and will still increase to 114. I need to get more tip weight or smaller rollers as my weights are at max but i want to stay with the profile. Also waiting for some to test from OSP. New profile. Hope to test before i go to Munising on Jan 9-11. I will test in the mornings there with NOS-PRO.

Sounds about the same as mine except mine doesn't gain past 109, just sits there and hits the limiter, all the way to 109 it holds steady at 9000 rpm give or take 50 rpm either way, as soon as it gets 107-108 it starts hittin limiter than at 109 it's hitting prolly 2-3 times every second and not gaining, gonna machine the helix and try to stock the coil bind before I change much, just a primary spring change to increase engagement
Hope I'm not talking out of turn here, but wouldn't it be nice to keep the original thread about NA clutching and start a different one about the turbo clutching?

You're right, sorry should've started a new thread, just knew Shagman was running a turbo setup and just wanted to get a bit of his input as he was posting regularly here.
Actually, the bet thing that could happen is if Stingray would go back to the original post and post some current recipes/setups and part numbers. Save 24 pages of reading.

No, this thread is "clutching on the cheap". If anything, guys just need to specify whether they are running N/A or Boosted.

TD Max, I understand. It would help us if we could have a page where every one could share is complete set-up like in the good old time of 2 stroke forum. But yes this thread is about clutching in the cheap and we are all learning from different people experience, wich is good.

Done. Made a sticky in facts page called Post your Clutch Setup. Using this Format.

No worries TD, Shag is running the 8FP weights which is how this thread started. It's nice to see the different setups in a sticky tho......

Hey cannon. Nice job on this bud. I am heading north today. Will report my stuff on the sticky when I get back.
I have Excell intake & MBRP can. Haven't rode yet. So my clutching right now is tbd.
