code 84 and 42

code 42 came up and my speedometer wasnt reading the speed....84 also came up....they both went out then 42 came on and 10 secs later it went out and i notced the speedometer was reading again!!...when i turned off my sled the speedometer stopped reading...now 42 and 84 shows up again..what should i do?

Speed sensor issues which also trips out the TORs code. Often caused by drive bearing going south and speedo gear makes contact with speedo sensor.

had to change the bearing and speed sensor....started the machine and the codes are still there and no speedometer.....do i have to reset the codes somehow??

Codes should clear when its fixed.

Is the little gear on the end of the driveshaft where the speed sensor is?

Any solution to this? My friend had the same exact issue a few times last year. It would act up then start working again. Could this be caused by a burnt ground block?

His sled is an 08 vector but the codes are the same
