Can you share the location of the relay. Knew the location on my Apex, but not on these Sidewinders.Just home from a week in Quebec , after -25c , all four Sidewinders had random issues , no dash or no fuel pump or no crank . Pull out all relays warm them up , all ok . Park o nite do it again ????? Cat Relays ??
SJ this was determined to be a false claim out of a dealers confusion with the Viper flash. Not true till proven so from Yamaha or Cat.Apparently, some starters engage too long and can break the gear off..we've not seen one that engages too long yet though

Had a similar issue, started my SW, warmed it up.... another couple was late coming out, so I shut it off. Was about -20, went to start it again 10 mins later when they came out and I had no cluster, headlight\tail light. Sled started fine and about 2mins later the cluster and lights all came on. Figured got moisture in the relay when it was warming up and when I shut it off, it froze. Good news is it started, just no cluster or lights !!

Location of relays? Is this the same as the fuel pump relay issue our apex's had? Warm them up and then you can hear the fuel pump run?

Nothing like a good old wood burning stove for those frozen relays. And a few ceasers to thaw them out.Just home from a week in Quebec , after -25c , all four Sidewinders had random issues , no dash or no fuel pump or no crank .
