Coolant temp gauge installation

The blue/white wire from the fuse block located by the chaincase is your most secure bet. DO NOT pull power from the relay harness by the oil tank!

Ok, so I'll run the red(12v ignition switch) wire to that blue white, but now I have a yellow wire that says to hook to battery plus? I was under the impression that I could use a red/white instead of direct to the battery to save from the possibility of a battery drain. Thanks again for everyone's help, I'm not real great with electrical

Or could I hook Both my 12v accessory wire and power wire from my gauge to the blue white? This would only allow it to come on when the engine is running right? I guess cause I'm not sure where to splice into red/white
