Cooling down the intake temps when warm out - hot!

Dumb question but does the stock gauge show the intake temp? As I have my sled apart at the moment and can't look at the gauge. I'm assuming if it does show intake temp that it is in the diagnostic section?

I rode friday and saturday in the up with high temps of about 44 both days The spray coming off the sled in front of me was very hard to keep out of the ic. at every stop i had to unpack it I started monitoring coolant temps early on friday and they didnt change always 170-to-174. I swithched over to iat and this changed a lot warm up in the parking lot was at 60f and this quickly moved to 89f within 2miles. My high for the day was 132f. this was with a full block of ice and a top speed of 96mph ,and only 8400rpm. No higher rpm could be reached and 96 was all in. Made me wonder if i have a boost leak or some other problem. Im all stock other than a orange spring at 2-3. Never had a chance to air it out till this past weekend but im sure this is not normal and am hoping its from the warm weather. 17 rtx le, 1100 miles

Ill have some more info this weekend it' going to be around freezing. One day it is going to b 40 so we will see what happens.

Talking about the stockers is fine, but we need to talk INTAKE TEMPS HERE, not ENGINE TEMP. Engine temp is not a issue at all.
So Mike are you looking at sleds gauge that reads coolant temp, than switch it over to air temp? Or are you getting temps from intercooler via a plug to a separate gauge, like my Koso has,it has three options,PSI,A/FR and intercooler plug that you drill and tap hole in,and it reads temp directly from cooler to gauge.

Pete,
You have intake temps on the lower left screen on the dash if you switch to it.

I get it from my Live Data on my iPhone I rigged up to charge & stay warm on my handlebars as well as logging from my Hurricane/GAP flasher.

Mike....have you found a sweet spot for AIT? Meaning, at what temp do you feel the sled performance starts to fall off, is there an approx number that we want to aim to be below when lining up with a bud or running the gun?

thnx
Dan

Yes,after reading your statement and I did see someone showing that,it made sience. Thanks Mike! Man this thing is a monster mid and up wow,i got a blister on my left hand from holding on when slamming thru trails lol and I am not kidding. I don't like the front rear shock springs, every time I have dule rate separate springs, they are a pain in the butt,no pun intended,i just ordered Raptors boiling ball triple rate all in one coil spring, and bet this rides much better thru the multie bumps..i will report back, also removing those TD 8.5 rear 4 wheels, they are hitting the transfer rod so hard, showing bumps on OD of wheels, now that's got to be causing friction, talk about how good they are ha ha,not mine. Awsome question Dan,took the words right out of my mouth lol..Rain,pouring Rain here now,sucks...

We were out testing this weekend on the lake with 2 sidewinders. One stocker and one with a ton of hurricane stuff on it, intake temperatures were the exact same as machzrobbies on the hurricane tuned sled.. I personally don't like having an intake temp of 136 degrees so will be trying some stuff this weekend to cool it down.

Might add, air temp was around 37 f, running on q16 mixed with 91..
