How much difference is there?

Difference in what specifically? The coupled keeps the front end down a little better, the uncoupled lets the arms work independently from each other and can offer more wheelie, but when used with added track length 141+ it wheelies about the same as a shorty that if it wasn't coupled could flip the sled over backwards if you tried hard enough. Ride is a horse a piece, some say one is better then the other. They all ride nice to me. I like a 'loose' sled where I can pick the skis up, I am ok with riding brakes hard in a corner, and prefer how the uncoupled 'rolls' over the bumps vs a coupled trying to bridge over them. I ride a BTX uncoupled 153" in the trails.

Short tracks = Coupled
Long tracks = Uncoupled
Coupled suspension won’t bottom out as easily. Basically when your suspension is compressed at some point the front and rear swing arms will “Couple” and compressing either arm moves both arms, Stiffening the suspension. Google it and videos will pop up.

I have a 20’ Xtx le and love the ride. A little easier to pull the front end, but not enough to get me in trouble. But in a rough trail I really think it smooths it out.

Like Clutch Master said for short tracks when the arms are coupled the ride is smoother, transfer less and with longer tracks independent- non coupled still ride well and smoother because of bridging the shorties cant do. If the goal is SMOOTH coupled is generally the choice,
