He's on this forum once and awhile... Would be nice to hear his opinion of the sled? He never really said how he liked it
That chassis looks to be as tough as the first year Mono and all the W arms throughout the years....light weight = compromise, eh?

looks way worse to me...and yes compromise is an understatement

You know I value all opinions and facts but be specific.Give examples or else it is just whining to me.Gets old.Help us dont hinder.
Want my 10000 mi list?Go look in Phazer forum but look at the dates because although list is just as long as the cat guys there is nothing for last 3 seasons.Just pure fun. That is the result of Yamaha,TY and it members and me.

Exactly
The fact is, all we been hearing since the vipercat was introed is how wonderful the procross chassis is without anyone being specific as to how or why.
The pics in that link tell a different story pertaining to reliability. The owner of the sled was very specific about his sled and sled repairs in 10,000 miles.
Read the link and form your own opinion.
I think information about he pluses and minuses are equally important.

I agree. That post is informative. Tells me the thing has belt issues,is not properly suspended or shocks were shot, had Awesome hyfax wear and guy didnt have time or a dealer to fix his reverse or prep his sled properly. Belt issue may be fixed with Yamaha clutches, We dont have solenoid issues ever eh? Correct me if I am wrong.

Personally I would be happy as hell using 4 belts in 10,000 miles but that's me.

Yea not too bad but the Cat belts are almost $200 each so not acceptable really.

Cat has a $200 belt and one that is like $95. Who's to say which one he was running. That being said I hope the Yamaha belts are cheaper like what's on the Nytro, even $95 is too much for a belt.

I sincerely doubt you will have the belt issues the process chassis currently has...both the 800 and turbo..in fact this guy got terrific belt life compared to the average guy...the norm was from as little as 40 miles! To 500....guys who got 7-800 were jumping up and down thrilled....when you blew a belt...you took out usually $200 worth of body....and fyi even when cat clutches were removed with aftermarket clutches....they still blew! I do think yam has a better looking setup with their side mounted spars....so I'll pay for you dudes...what isn't better is the rest...thats the crap your going to see...and obviously that guy has an intimate relationship with his.... dealer...probably got better pdi than the average guy....and not every guy can or wants to wrench like myself or others...fyi I've been setup inside and this chassis and the quality us fast from any yamaha you've ever seen....but the ride and handling is better than most give ever rode....just be ready to be frustrated and wrench...I'm going you guys don't get jammed with $180 belts
