Ehlett said:Thanks for all the input. I'm going to throw a set of dual runners on it to try it out, slim Jims or duallys. If I am really not happy with it I'll pick up a set of curves.
Imo, slim jims work better than the standard dual runners...

Great, thanks. My biggest concern is them pushing. I am sure they will eliminate most of the darting.

The problem is they still dart too much on hard surfaces. Not as badly as the stock skis but more than I like. I just think it's too much wear bar. Steering effort isn't bad at all. I'm going to try less carbide and see how it works. They actually work surprisingly well with the 2" carbides. You just have to be aware that it's going to push a bit.
You can probably blame the darting on the shapers, bad setup or too much ski pressure. I have been running Curves for 1500 miles in all kinds of conditions with 6" Bergstroms .....without the curve leading edge on the 141" skid and they almost never dart. They work well. Also running SLP SLT's on our 137 with Bergstroms and that is also one of the best setup's I have run. Never darts and very predictable. Though the Curves work great, I'm going to try the new SLP Mohawks that have a very similar bottom to the SLT just because of how well the SLT's have been working.
I'm running Mohawks with 6" SLP carbides on my LTX and love the setup. I had Powder Pros before that and liked those too but the Mohawks seem to be better all around with the SLT characteristics helping the trail handling quite a bit.

I just ordered curves with leading edge. I had them on my nytro and loved them. I figured stick with what I know. One side note I ordered online with 6 inch shapers a woman called me this morning said the owner recommended 6 inch round carbides. Il try that and see how it goes.

Got a set on my LTX with 6" of carbide. The sled is on rails now for steering. Best money I spent on the sled.

Crap just missed the sale I can't wait to ride them next season.
How did your steering effort change? Darting? Did you go from stock skis and carbides or did you go from stock 4" carbides?

Curve skis are dam good skis! I went with the 6 inch round bar, on my LTX. If you take the time to set up your suspension to your weight, and ride style. You will love them in all types of conditions.
What worked for myself. I am 240 Dressed. One hole up on the strap, Front shock tension set to just have preload, Torsion spring set to No. 1 and rear coupler blocks on position No. 2. This made me do the Happy dance!
