Hello . I have a 2004 yamaha rx1 and was wondering what cylinder is number 1 . Does it go 1 2 3 4 from the clutch side or does it go 1 2 3 4 from the brake side .want to finish my msd install and cut my msd spark plug wires . Thank for any help .

1.4 and 2.3 if i remember correct.

For firing order, look in the manual under valve clearance maintenance, the valve sequence and thus firing order is 1-2-4-3. In the original RX1 Manual that is page 2-10, and it is the same page on the following Apex manuals as well. This is why a bump in HP is realized when changing the exhaust headers to a 1-4, 2-3 configuration.
