D&D dynos the thundercat!

d&d back on the dyno today . that sled had 0 miles on it when it hit the dyno .i asked about the ecu when i talked to dale .same thing .he's waiting for a sw now

Maybe Cat needed an extra 20 hp to compensate for its crummy clutching it has put out the last few yrs..... My guess is the Sidewinder will have similar numbers on the same dyno.

D&D got 206 hp production ZR 9000.
Then they got 221.7 with their mod stock can which is a modified stock muffler, very impressive for just a muffler. I asked about the sidewinder tuning and they do expect to have the same results with the sidewinder as Yamaha tuned BOTH cats and Yamaha ecu's....I'm excited for the results

Yup those who haven't looked at it check there facebook page out 234 hp -246hp with a tune

They are running a hotter tune and a lb more boost to get to 205. Evos dyno was a real baseline

supposed to be crate... but i can't wait to see a SW put out over 200hp stock out of the box..:brrr:

I don't know why anyone is surprised by 15-20 hp gain with exhaust as that is right in line with what was done with the 1100 turbo. It came in at 180 and ended up at 195-200+ with more opened up exhaust(modded stock system), then start adding tune. Looks like you just get a higher starting point. Job well done by Yamaha!!

Well last year hurricane dyno'd an mpi trail turbo in the mid 150 with quiet muffler and almost 180 with race can. I know that mine picked up close to that when I went from mpi muffler to race can
