Is there a general rule of thumb on how much the set screw weight is needed to pull RPM down?
...ie 1 gram = 100 rpm. Took my newly tuned up winder out 'and I'm seeing 9200 falling to 8950. This is set up as TD specified.

if you are settling in @ 8950 I would just leave it right the way it is. It's gonna vary depending on conditions, and you are very close now.
