I just installed a 2'' Powermadd rizer and the cables and brakes hose where just right. Can't wait to
hit the trail and try it out. The bars feel great!

I stood on mine this morning and it seems like a 2" riser would be about right. Good to hear that the cables and cover work with it. Hopefully I can put up with the higher bars blocking the vision of the gauge somewhat.
Would swapping the cover for a aftermarket pad help to see the gauge better?

Is it worth it to spring for the pivoting risers when only going with the 2" height?

Its true I can't see the speedo unless I lean forward to look at it, but its not too bad. The addedd leverage, centralized mass, etc were well worth it for me.
Tfin,
I just picked up a set of ROX 2 " pivoting myself and was wondering if you had to relocate any of the cables??? I think i am going to install them tomorrow night when I get home and I figured I would try to avoid any problems by asking someone who has already installed the same thing.
No, I didn't need to relocate any cables. Since these are pivoting risers, and I pushed my bars forward so that the riser is straight up and down, I needed to remove the metal guide on the front side of the handle bars. Most all the cables go down through it and it was pinching them. Once I did that it worked fine.
When you push the risers forward, you of course need to rotate the bars back so that they stay level. The only other thing I did was to bend the metal tab up a bit. Its the one where the parking brake cable goes through (up in the engine compartment). This allowed just a bit more slack for the cable. That was it.

I think so! The way these risers allow you to move the bars forward moves YOU forward which of course puts you closer to the pivot point. And everyone knows by now what that does.

Thanks Tfin.
Sounds like the ticket along with a left bar hook this season. Gotta stay ahead of that dang polaris.

Sorry, me again. Where's a good source for the Rox riser? I see plenty of places to buy Sportech's 2" articulating risers, but haven't run across the Rox brand yet. Pros or cons of either brand?

I bought mine used from a member on this forum. I'm sure you can get them through any aftermarket dealer though.
Here's ROX (SpeedFX) website where you can buy them:

Thanks again. Couldn't find that from the search engine that I was using. I'm interested in a set.

I tried out 2" Rox riders for a day and while I liked them for standing, they made the seat feel way too low when sitting. I returned it back to stock for now but I think I'm going to spend the money and buy a taller seat. My plan is the steering post relocation kit to move everything forward. I've got straight bars on order and will get a proper riser to ie it all together. In the end I will have duplicated the Apex ergos.

Has anyone tried to get the whole set up from a nytro and put it on there vector??

You could get the Nytro riser but it does not pivot. If you look at the Vector mtn you will see its riser is canted foward. I have a feeling it is the same riser only mounted backwards. The seat really needs to be brought up as well or you sled will feel like a chopper when sitting. Standing it will feel pretty good. The pivoting risers are better IMO because you can vary the ergos even more.

Uh....that would be me. I ordered the complete assembly, riser, block, pivot, cables, hoses, hose covers, grips, bars, ends, throttle block, brake block...all to the tune of $900+
I really wanted the stock look and this was the only way to retain the stock appearance.
I am waiting on the pivot block to arrive from Japan. I called Yamaha last week and they still do not have a release date for that part #.
NO THE MTN VECTOR IS NOT THE SAME PIVOT BLOCK. I checked this out as well, if you turn the Nytro pivot block backwards the bars would be right about family jewels level. The NYRTO setup is completely different than any other YAMAHA setup they have to date.

Finally gotten around to mounting the 2" riser today and I really like the feel. You guys were right about not seeing the gauge unless you lean but no biggy. The taller seat is something to think about for sure. I see a call to BOSS is in the near future.
