So instead of bitching in another thread about what is coming, or not coming, or bitching about what should be coming, or what was done wrong, I want to post something positive.

Here is a place to talk about how much you enjoyed what you currently have, and why it's as good as it needs to be to have the best time with the snow we have been given as of today!

We put on over 50 miles Friday afternoon after busting out of the office. And put over 50 miles on yesterday out in the woods.

I got the chance to break in my new GoPro Max 360 cam. Now to learn how to edit the footage. It's stupid cool to see footage of my entire sled from above as if floating above my helmet!!

Post up how you have enjoyed what you have right now!

I enjoy my 2008 Vector. It has served me well since new. For the 2 or 3 trips I take per year it is just fine.

Very nice pics, Good to see a pure Yamaha sled like the Apex to dominate the pack, you are so lucky to have snow, keep the pics coming.

Of the over 30 sleds I have owned, my current, a 17 Sidewinder RTX is the best of them all. Best set up out of box and the least amount of adjusting to get it to ride great. 5k trouble free miles so far. Quiet and power that makes you grin every time I ride it. I would DEFINATLY buy another.

I've owned a boat load of sleds through the years of all makes, the first Yamaha was an 01 srx that really got me hooked on blue. Moved to many apexs from mild to wild and now have a 17 winder and love it. I've ridden many 300 plus mile days on the apex and now that I've done those miles a few times on the winder, it's my new favorite sled. Didn't think I'd ever say that after riding riding the apex and loving them sleds for over 10 years but I'm a believer now.

Sense owning sleds starting in the late 70's my 16 Apex xtx is the most high tech reliable trail cruiser I have ever owned, that sweet exhaust note leaves a impression of power that is not forgotten, currently the 2018 Apex is the most powerful sled Yamaha has ever made, Apex will return!!

Gotta love the apex, I still have 2 in the stable. One with a stage 2 s/c. That one still makes me grin inside my helmet.

I’m happy with what I have. Been on Yamaha’s since my wife’s dad tossed me on the old prestige and I had to keep up with him on his almost new 86 phazer. That was a few years ago. Since then we’ve had numerous smokers (phazers, exciters, enticers, vmax’s, then the trailing arm sleds - mtn max, srx) now into the 4 strokes and have no real desire to go back. Just like all sleds they have all had their quirks and issues. We tend to overlook the bad when reminiscing about the good old sleds we moved on from. Just picked up a low mileage viper and a no mile btx sidewinder. After a few miles last weekend I think we will get along with them just fine. Adjust a few things, tweak a few more, address some things with some aftermarket enhancements, and some regular maintenance should make for some happy sledders for years to come. No different than any other sled we’ve had since about 1995 or so. ⛄

I was lucky enough to get to ride last weekend and the first time I came around a corner and cracked the throttle open all my cares left me behind, so this is a good thread for today. I hope we all get to ride soon so everyone can be as happy as I am. This forum always mellows out once everyone starts riding for the year.

have not ridden the apex yet this year but got about 50 km in breaking trail with the vk. broke the brakes and plugged the carb but still had fun other than the 5km of tree cutting. could not lift the chain saw by the end of the day.

After riding my MP over 3000km last season, it served me well for the last 10 years. But I'm getting older and need some more comfort so I jumped on a 2010 RS Venture GT! Rode it about 500km for the latter part of the season and instantly fell in love with it. If weather predictions are correct, it should be another 3000+km season!

Sadly, I will be selling off the MP. It should make someone else equally happy!

And my son also acquired a 2010 Nytro that he also loves after spending 6 years on the Phazer. He liked it a lot but it was just too small for him. He sold it last season just before he got the Nytro. It was actually a father/son project as it was a crashed unit we bought in NY for cheap. We were kinda sad to see it go but life goes on... on a Nytro!

Man o man some of you guys just can't leave well enough alone your not happy unless your comparing your discontinued Apex to the new Winder and Vipers. For what it's worth there 20/80 that vintage sled your riding is the same horse power as the 2018 very few changes from 2006 until 2018 witch does not compare to the Winder. I like your little play on words most powerful sled that YAMAHA made to date. Well if Yamaha would not of started working with Cat they would be still selling the Apex because they got nothing else to offer. You might be right the Apex may return, with bold new graphics because there isn't anything they can do to that lead sled to compare it to a Winder. So if you want another 20 page thread about Apex's vs Winder just bring it.

My wife has had a full custom apex, rode my turbo apex, spent time on my daughters phazer, liked that enough to get her own for 7 years, rode my blown apex, and spent 35 miles on her new to her viper and her 1st statement was " I really like this sled!" They all have their pluses and minus. There have been things I've loved and hated about every sled I've owned/ridden/wrenched on. When a manufacturer comes out with the perfect sled for everyone the other brands will cease to exist because we will all be happy with that perfect polcatyamadoo. Until then - ride what you pride and pride what you ride.
