that would keep boost (and some trapped residual heat) in the cylinders are better than
stock cams with more overlap that will loose some boost due to the overlap period but will probably get some of that residual heat off the cylinder at same time)?
I plan on running 26-28# of boost and need to know what should be better and why. If someone have theory I would like to read it.
That is what they call turbo cams guess.
thank you

Thank you Hammer! Got to be needing to work for me and take away my brain strain!!
Lots of calls every few days about this and Automotive guys don't always get it.
I learned about this stuff over 20 years ago and in the motorcycle world where stock motors makes big Hp compared to old school V8 stuff.
Guys ask where should valves open or close at and I say I don't really care and it's all about lobe centers on high RPM motors.
Vector and Nytro are at about 98 degree lobe centers with 69 -72 degrees overlap so HP goes right by the valves and out the exhaust.
Make more HP at lower boost with well balanced setup from one end to the other in a turbo motor is key.
GT2554 on Apex at 15 lbs boost gets smoked so bad by GT2860 at 15 that you can't compare the two.
Now take a look at torque on Hurricane Dave's motor and ask him about cam timming!
High boost is not the answer for most of us it's only a quick pop.
Boost is the new drug with a Yamaha turbo's being able to crank it up!!
Over 5000 hits on that video in few days!!

I love what you do Hammer. It took 3weeks for me to learn how to set my loab centers and thanks to Dave at Powderlites for spending the time to teach me. It's a part of a complete package if you want good power
