Hey guys, new to the boards here. I picked up a couple 07 mountain lites with less than 200 miles each. I've been doing a lot of reading on here and it looks like the consensus for upgrading the clutch is to go with the ulmers racing kit. I picked this up on ebay today.
I'm thinking it's an ulmers kit, and it's sold by a consignment shop so i'm thinking they just didn't know the manufacturer. Any thoughts?

hard to say - the weights look like ulmers - i think they machine the part number off the stock weights (i would do the same) - looks like it was never installed - not sure what the black bushing is for - and it looks like you got a wire nut as a bonus as well. this post will be gone soon with an ebay listing in it i assume.

I saw that too but was a little concerned that they didn't have anything that said Ulmer. I emailed them but they didn't write back, so I didn't bid. If it is Ulmer, it looks like you got a good deal!

something looks funny mine had more weights in the doggys or rivets and one looks like it only has 2 holes to fill . the whole point of the ulmers kit is that the weight are put in to match your weight and riding style and elevation so if you have to start adding weights right away would not be worth buying beceause you can do this to your stock ones with ulmer . allen will be available to answer any questions you have if setup is not great for you instead of figuring it out for yourself and this is just my thoughts. LOL and welcome to forum if your new read through sticks at top of page great stuff in there.
Removed Ebay link and posted pic.Sure doesnt look like Ulmer kit to me.

The spring looks correct, all black with no paint code.
He posted a side picture.
I think the bushing and wire nut just ended up in the box, nothing to do with the kit.

Allen would be pissed lol Funny thing is the kit is a Elmer not a Ulmer as his kit doesnt include the mystery wire nut in red!

That is not a stock phazer spring. The stock phazer spring has a paint code on the coils. purple / pink (i think)
I'll take a picture of the stock weighs when i get home, they are in the garage.
I also recall all the holes in the stock weights being filled

That is our 121/136 clutch kit. I have not tried those particular components in an MTX model.
