Engine RPM output

I am trying to locate the tach output wire any help would be appreciated.I need it for my racepak.

Should be the yellow /black stripe wire either at the cdi or at guage pod

I did try yellow /black at the gauge it did not work.The instructions say that I need to find a vaild square wave tach output single.

Wire into the yellow/black wire coming out of the CDI box. This will work.
Also, depending on which racepak you are using, it might need to be reprogrammed to go over 10,000 rpm's (my Hot Tach Pro did).

The wire at the cdi should be the same signal at guage, not sure if it is square wave , my sleds not together so I can't test. Find someone with graphing meter or lab scope if you can,t get it to work.
