Exhaust Donuts & Y Pipes....Step by step

I would sy if you looked up undr the tunnell this bracket would be hanging down off where the bolt comes down from center of sled to hold exhaust. I found what i think the bracket clips into. I am considering taking the skid out to get in there and it will be easier to align the exhaust to the pipes. ughhh

Heres a pic of what i think its suppose to look like. Its missing the rubber on the bottom its suppose to be just like where the rear muffler is grommeted

So I have read this from top to bottom, I have already replaced the donuts once before using OEM stuff about 2 years ago.
My questions is, are the new part number (99999-03989) better than original ones, or should I order soem from Sledtoyz or others?
thanks
Jim

Just did my donuts for first time! Not too bad of job at all! 2 were completely shot, like only half there! Replaced with oem donuts, by the way sled had 5500 miles on it! Thanks alot for all the info on this job! :rocks:

I've had my exhaust apart 3 times. The bracket does not look familiar to me.

I believe Yami came out with this bracket in later years.

theres a good step by step video on u tube on the gaskets too ,just put in,, apex donut ...

When installing new donuts is it a must to put silicone around new gaskets or can you put them in dry?

Whats bad is I broke a bolt off tightening up the flex pipe to the motor. Any tips on how to get the broken bolt out?

I don't have access to a welder. What about drilling a hole in the broken bolt and use an extracting tool?

Anybody know what the torque is for the flex pipe bolts into the manifold? I read on here 16 lbs but I snapped a bolt off trying to tighten it that much
