I've been messing around with several under tunnel exhaust setups. Thought I would share what I have so far.

Basically started out with an RX1 stock exhaust. Cut off the can and mounted some Screaming Eagle mufflers to that. needless to say very loud. then I got a 2 into 1 collecter and ran it to one muffler. much quieter but still very loud.

So this is my plan enclose the dual pipes and drill holes in the pipes to allow the gas to expand in the chamber. I also cut a slot on the inside of both pipe and slide a peice in the slot to block 50% of the pipe. Have no idea if this is going to quiet it down but worth a try

I don't like loud anymore. I will find a way to keep it down. the screamin eagle mufflers are 2.25 id. I can put some reducers together inside the muffler. restrict it down to 1" each and wrap it glass pack.

So far I've spent $40 for the RX1 exhaust, $20 for the 2 Screaming Eagles and another $30 in collector, reducers and clamps. $10 for the cut peice of 3" x 30" stainless. about 20 hrs in trial and error. so around $1100.

Paying for the trial isn't so bad, but the error part can really add up fast.

That looks awsome! Hope you get the sound the way you like it. Last year I gutted my stock exhaust and am thinking that I would like to do a tunnel dump exhaust similar to this. My only concern is db level. The gutted stock exhaust is a tad louder then I like but does sound sweet under load.

How are you blanking off the area that the stock exhaust came out?

I have a piece of aluminum that I will cut to fit, weld or rivet it in. I have the WRP Assualt seat. I'll probably put some kinda of bag or rack under the seat. Plus I'll be mounting a gass can on the tunnel. So must of it should be covered up.

SO i see you used a Hartman Extension?! What size did you go?? and what length track? Love the look with the duals out the top... I am doing my 40th... put on a 151 hartman tunnel ext.. going with a 144 track... and the gas caddy!?! How do you mount?

It's the 153" ext with a 144" cobra. The duals was my first plan and it does look pretty cool but, is now my back up plan if the tunnel exhaust doesn't work out. It's a koplin jr. It has a mounting plate with a T-handle that fits up the center of the can and locks it down. the plate bolts or rivets to the tunnel

Side bar a bit... i see you used the copper tunnel cooler line?! pros/cons... i opted not to install...

Apex 06 had the copper tube on his and stated that the copper isn't strong enough and was getting holes from debris hitting it. I'm looking into running a hose or tube above the tunnel and attaching it to the WRP seat supports. At a minimum I will have a hose to bypass if something happens to it on the trail. Really wish the coolant cap was easier to get to on the trail.

Put the pipe on with just the chambered portion. quieter then before but not there yet. I will be picking up the reducers I ordered tomorrow. going to make baffles for the Screaming Eagle mufflers. the mufflers are 2.25 id and I think its producing a megaphone effect. so I'm going to reduce it down to 1.25" duals. also going to help to create more back preasure.
