I'm at 4100km or 2550 miles now, anyone else notice the exhaust staining the white lower panel??
Getting lots of attention on this sled at warm huts and gas stations, individuals looking at my sled and asking how i like it.
Love this Friggen sled! These stains driving me nuts, getting some comments on the white not being a good choice. Thinking maybe painting these panels blue or something, also starting to stain the powder coating on the chassis around that area as well. Don't think there will be any warranty coverage for this.
kinda looks like
Thanks

A citrus based cleaner will take that exhaust soot right off.

Sledbrite works every time. Best product out there for stains.

Might be out there but check your oil level. I had overfilled my MTX at the start of this season by about 8-10 ounces (3/4 cup max) and it was staining my very red Rotopax tunnel tank black/brown on top. Removed a bit of oil to bring level within limits and problem gone.
Same engine so maybe its the same issue. Overfilling didn't affect performance whatsoever, just leaked a bit into the exhaust somehow. Maybe the same results on the Viper???

Mr clean magic eraser with cleaner of your choice works pretty good.
I have used sledbrite on my kids green for years but it doesn't keep it perfect. My guess with those miles you are going to start losing it.

Best i use is brake clean or ski-doo heavy duty cleaner in spray can. ski-doo cleaner washes it right off, and don't dis-color the panels. i use it on all my machines listed below. but don't tell anyone you use ski-doo products on your Yamaha. LOL

Try spray nine and brake cleaner for those real stubborn stains

Be careful with brake cleaner. Some can discolor plastics.
