I think everyone who owns an Apex should bombard Trail Tank with emails requesting they make a larger capacity tank for the Apex. I heard somewhere that they said there wasn't a big demand for them so that's way they're not producing them.
Swamp them with email maybe they'll get the hint.

FYI guys fuel caddies work great off a nytro. Will fit on any length. They do not leak when filling either. Great flexible nozzle. I know a dealer that has a couple sets for a good deal. Pm me and I can send you their info
That's a nice set-up but it won't work for me due to the saddlebags that hang over the seat.
Thea best idea is JUST BUILD A BIGGER TANK.

I agree with you... actually my saddle bags also work with this system.

Yamaha nytro bags I cut the 90 degree bend off. Drilled two extra holes. It rests perfectly on the footboard to hold the weight then bolted it with nylocks, and fender washers on the inside of the tunnel. Works great
this is the saddle bag you can use with it still if you go on long trips. They will work together if mounted in the right spot SMA-8HG73-20-00

how do they hold on in ruff trails, and do you think they would fit on 129 inch apex?

They hold great. I used 3/8 stainless bolts. Bolt head on the outside with regular washer. Inside tunnel a oversized fender washer with nylock. That plus resting on the running boards held great. This is a 128 with a 136 extension. So where you see it mounted was in the 128 location never got in the way of my feet etc. Trust me strong. I took moguled corners and two foot woops for miles down trail 8 in munising and held perfect.

What kind of range do you have, I found out the hard way you need fuel before 100 miles, empty by 115.
Pushing real hard I was down to just over 3 liters at 120 miles. Next day I was at 10 liters left at 100 miles. Calculating tank size and fill up amount. Not perfect science. Light usually comes on around 90 to 100 miles, the 120 mile day it came on at 90 miles and I went 30 miles on the fuel count up.
Now if your running in fresh snow or warm soft snow your going to burn more fuel.
