Extra gas storage can 2012 apex xtx

Looking for the cleanest install for spare gas can on a 2012 xtx apex. Easy on/off and durable.

here is what i did on my 2011 apex xtx. holds a 1.5 gallon klopin can inside the rack.

all my other pics are on photo bucket and the buggers are holding them hostage now.

A simple its Yamaha after market, brand x, discontinued or at website x would be fine.

He's right, those fuel options are limited on the 2011 and above due to where the pipes come out. I have watched for some sort of rack and none of the threads have been helpful on that missing link. We all seem to still be looking for something for this issue. Personally, I still carry an MSR fuel bottle, but that's still shy of a liter.

Best bet is to just ride with your skidoo buddies that have a link tank full. HA! I was going to put fuel on my daughters viper and let her carry the fuel.

I have used a Koplin 1.5 gallon on my 2010 Apex LTX ( 136 in) for 6 years now with zero issues.

All I have looked to into purchasing the Kolpin set-up but it looks like they stopped making them. Any chance the Rotopax 1.5 gallon will work? Are exhaust turnouts needed? If so what part # and where ? I have 2012 Apex XTX.

I have custom made a holder that mounts on the back of the xtx that is fitted to hold the 2 gallon Ropax that fits nice and neat , you do not need turnouts, just look back through the threads and you will find it..gas can holder, there are pictures of it mounted on my Apex xtx, that should give you some idea's, hope this helps
