Well its offical.. I finally lost a race.. LOL

Barry (my business partner) has a 2009 Skidoo XP 800 with all the bikeman goodies, Billet head, pipe mod, can, clutching, 1 inch track wth 1.5 inch studs and different drivers.. The sled was actually setup and purchased from bikeman

He is 40lbs lighter than me...

He can pull slowly away from me at any speed, im guessing its light weight is why it can jump away from me soo quickly..

I will say this.. Those new xps are AWESOME sleds and i myself would love to someday own one.. But for all out durabilty you still cant beat a yamaha.. (10,500) miles on my sled and have never touched the engine..

Im not really stock.. the engine is..

Yes, the XP's are awsome but after owning one last year & an Attak the 4 years prior, my butt's going on an SE - if we ever get any snow in Maine!

Don't XP 800's beat Apex's as a rule ??

Only noob apex owners, meet one with some knowledge throughout the entire sled and the outcome is different.
:jump: my buds 08 800 I run with might be a turd but my 07 has never lost a race to it, any conditions any surface. he misses his blown up 05 Mach, which I could beat in short drags too :-o

I did the same thing! Friday was great and then coming back it was all I could do to stay on the white stuff. As for Doos, they may make a decent sled but those ETECs are just timebombs waiting to go off...Our family friend lost a crankshaft seal on his 2009 last year. It's just a good thing those engines are "smart" and it shut itself down before any real damage could be done. And this last trip we heard of a couple other people with the newer Doos that had similar catastrophic failures.

My family (all Polaris owners) may give me crap about not buying American or the weight of my Yammi but at least I can go out for a relaxing day's ride without having to worry about my sled blowing up!

Hold on here, read the new snow trax mag and polaris is starting to manufacture sleds in mexico now to save money, millions it says, not all will be manufactured there but its not 100% amercan like some would think

Oh they know! They like to joke that instead of gas my sled runs on rice (because it's Asian) so I guess they're gunna have to hope they find a Taco Bell on the trail from now on! Haha!
