Does anyone know if your head & block are fire ringed can you use that head on a block that is not. The block is NFG but the head is fine.

Does the block have a receiver groove milled in it around the bore on the deck face? If so, it is machined to match the head...

It does have that Mauri, so probably have to deck the head to run this head?

Not sure. You might just be able to pull the o-ring out of the head, depending on where the groove is compared to where the fire ring on the oem head gasket lines up... Also how deep is the groove in the head ? You don't want to cut too much off the deck face of the head because it will alter your compression ratio.
