I have a 08 nytro RTX Anniv. my fox float shocks have a white powder that is on the valve stems and one shock won't take air. So does this white powder means seals out of shock and moisture got in shock I do have neopreme yamaha protectors ove them. Who do you recomend to rebuild these shocks? Pioneer performance?
Thanks BRIAN

Do you trailer on a open trailer? Kinda sounds like corrosion. If its not taking air it is probably time for a rebuild. Im rebuilding/revalving mine this year, going with either pioneer or carver. Heard good things about both. Hygear is another option but a pricey one.

I do have an open trailer and traveled about 2000 miles this year and I have a cover and drive off salt shields I thought it would be good but I think it is corrosion!! I will have to figure out a way to get my sled in the pick up cab!! If we just would of got some snow I would not of had to travel so much. I rode my sled in 4 diffrent states this year!!!!
Thanks for the reply

you also could send them back to fox and get the evol conversion done.... check the fox website for the details. thats my plan for this summer if i can swallow the cost and not have my wife kill me. I dont know if the others do the conversion either. I would call and ask about it at least. More adjustability never hurts.

I have the Evol conversion done on the shocks and love it! Make sure they re-valve it too. Carver can do it but I had the Fox Shox dealer in Brainerd/Baxter, MN do mine.

Do you know if the EVOL upgrade includes swapping the top and bottom shock mounts to sperical heads like what are needed to run the Skinz front end?
Thanks,
Kope

Price is $390 for the EVOL upgrade, $470 to do the upgrade AND add the spherical bearings at the same time.
OFT Racing can do the upgrade either way.
