Freeride track opinions

Ya, it is a 121" did not read the post closely. It hooks up now like a BangKok hooker at a frat party !

Took me 2 hours to install, very straight forward.

It works great on hardpack as well

thanks reaper! i guess i will have to order one! you also put studs in yours?

Great Pics...did you finish the install, if you didn't, can you take a picture of the track under the sled with the front in the right spot and the rear pulled all the way back, even with your photoshopped pic, I'm not convinced that the tunnel won't need modifications with a 136" track at max suspension crush. Have you decided if you are changing the rear wheel size, I thought I read you had asked about it somewhere. Thanks.

To go to a 136" track you will need to put on a tunnel extension. You could get a 128" track under a standard 121" tunnel without modifications, but to go to a 136" and have the proper clearance a tunnel extension will be needed.

Thanks, that's what I thought, I havn't been able to find anyone that makes a tunnel extension for the Phazer yet.

Shaft

anyone know what size shaft that is? I am switching over to the freeride myself for sno cross and want to put in anti-ratchet drivers. I believe the new track is a 2.52 pitch

Yes I have 8" rear idler wheels, they will shorten the track about an inch. Then there is a possibility to move the bumper end of the tunnel an inch backwards, because it has double nut-holes (or whatever they are called the welded nuts in the tunnel). The mountain lite rear end uses both of them but FX uses only the front holes, so the bumper could be moved more than an inch backwards to the rear holes. I will try this.
These two things will make 2" of extra tunnel compared to a 136" track with stock wheels. And I have cut off the lower part of the flap.

Just got the no-slip/no ratchet/extrovert drivers on the axle. Will continue soon. Next big task is modifying/welding of the rail extensions to fit 8" wheels.

27 mm or 1 1/16" that is. I have the BRP ones because of the lower price.
Rail tips has to be cut 10-15 mm I have been told, and it looks right to me.

By the way, if anyone needs service manual pics regarding track exchange, I can help by email. I have about 30 pics/pages of the essential stuff ;)! (5-6 MB total)

Are you sure that the track with my setup will touch the tunnel end at fully compressed suspension ?
Actually I think this can be measured. With the track off the ground and knowing the suspension travel, it should be possible to measure if it's critical bad clearance or not. Where is suspension travel measured?
Suspension is already somewhat compressed with the sled on the ground.

Almost had to cut off the right anti ratchet, it is just on the edge towards the bearing. Also got fan:

Track

so..is that a 9 tooth driver then? Cause i can get them(BRP) for 49.95 from tracks usa, along with my track.
