went out yesterday for a trail ride and temp were in low -28c so,took it easy and rode 45 minutes.stop for a lunch and there was oil spaying on my right boot.took a look to see that oil is spraying from the tank right beside the reverse actuator.Breather at the top of the tank was frozen and full of ice.Have lost about a liter so had to call a friend to bring sled home. Now,have to remove the oil tank and reseal whit silicone sealant.Look like too much pressure in tank push sealant out and spreded oil every where.Nice job Yamaha,a lot of test but all at warm temps.HERE in Quebec, the temps are often in the low -28 -30c.

I would be making the dealer fix it

it's me that gonna fix it anyway,i work at the dealership!

Oh....lol
That's handy
where were you riding?

talk whit Yamaha to day and guess what, they say I am the lucky fist as always.I know I won't be the last .I know now that I will do the same thing I did on my turbo viper,by-pass that stupid thing they call safety valve.no more trouble if you keep the track side down.

so maybe you were the first and yes,the sealant was very thin in two places were the tank seals to the chain case cover.anyway,i reseal it good and hope it do not apen again.

Let me guess on those thin spots > >> a little less then half way up from the bottom of case. Where reverse actuator is and opposite that on other side of case ???

Every guy that goes in is the first for "that problem" LOL
I once had a girlfriend that told me that I was the first. I think she worked for Yamaha as well. Now I,m wondering if I got duped. LOL
