Wonder about fuel pressure/gauges. Is mech/ele gauge better?. Is the gauge take its reading between the pressure reg and the carbs?. Does 1lb of boost equal 1lb of fuel pressure? Thanks

RED. fuel pressure extreme precision is not nessesary and a mechanical
guage will do just fine. choose one that is going to to show your
average pressure in the middle of its scale (a needle guage is easyer
to read in daylight )
yes fuel guage pick-up normally goes between reg.and carbs.
yes 1 psi of boost will increase fuel psi by 1 BUT,the regulator has
an adjustable 'base' press.of about 8 to 15 psi.
so when you have 8 psi of boost, and your regulator is adjusted at
10 psi 'base' you have 18 psi of carb. fuel press.
